Trainer Bob Baffert’s horse, Medina Spirit, won the 147th ‘Run for the Roses’ under the sure hand of Jockey John Velazquez.
Baffert takes the all time record of seven Kentucky Derby wins thanks to Medina Spirit, who Baffert bought as a yearling for a mere one-thousand dollars.
Baffert told reporters: “I’m the luckiest guy in the world!”
