According to the London Times, former Gov. Matt Bevin (RINO-KY) allegedly abandoned a 17 year-old adopted black son, Noah, in a Jamaican facility known as Atlantis Leadership School.

Bevin wore his two black children on his sleeve like trophy cuff links during his second campaign for governor which he won by a slim margin. His first run for governor failed as did his reelection campaign.

While governor, Bevin published a photo he had taken of one of his two adopted black sons who had crawled out of the center second story window onto the precipice of the doorway of the governor’s mansion which is a replica of Marie Antoinette’s summer palace.

Journal Kentucky aptly noted then, that had any other parent allowed a child to do that, they would have been charged with child abuse. No charges were brought.

Nasty rogue Bevin divorced his First Lady, Glenna, thereby entering a rocky road revealing some of his major character flaws.

While governor, Bevin blocked many Kentucky residents including some affiliated with JournalKentucky.com from following his [then] Twitter account unlawfully according to a lawsuit that was filed during Bevin’s four-year term.

Bevin lost a reelection bid to Andy Beshear who began his second four-year term in 2024.

Bevin is an outsider former non-Kentuckian who apparently moved to Kentucky because he likely observed that the governor’s office was easy to ‘purchase’ using the right amount of campaign advertising.

Bevin bragged about creating jobs through his multimillion-dollar business empire, but none of those were in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The weak and quite detestable so-called Republican Party was quite susceptible to such a rogue as Bevin because it is largely comprised of Trump-hating Mitch McConnell acolytes who we identify as RINOs, who rarely get any policy legislation right.

It is possible that the child requested to attend that particular Jamaican boarding-school; and, he may not have desired to return to the Bevin household; however, this is only permissive speculation.

Bevin’s Blended Family of Nine Children Including Two Adoptees from Jamaica, by CoPilot

Former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin has a total of nine children, including two adopted children.

The adopted children are part of a group of four siblings from Ethiopia. One of them, a 17-year-old boy named Noah (a pseudonym), was reportedly left at the now-closed Atlantis Leadership Academy in Jamaica, a boarding school for troubled teens.

The academy faced allegations of abhorrent conditions, including physical abuse, deprivation of food, and inhumane treatment.

Noah is currently a ward of the state in Jamaica after his parents failed to pick him up from a court hearing when the facility was shut down.

Bevin’s other adopted children were frequently mentioned during his time in office, as he advocated for reforming Kentucky’s foster care system.

Atlantis Leadership Academy, by CoPilot Ai

“The child rescue mission you’re referring to is the Atlantis Leadership Academy in Jamaica.

This for-profit school, founded by Randall Cook, was meant to help troubled teens. However, four employees were recently arrested and charged with child abuse after allegations of mistreatment surfaced.

The Jamaica Child Protection and Family Services Agency removed eight American boys from the academy, and some are still being held in group homes in Jamaica while authorities ensure their safe return to their parents.

The situation has drawn attention, with celebrity Paris Hilton even flying to Jamaica to advocate for the boys’ rights.

Former students, parents, and lawyers have described rampant abuse at the academy, leading to charges against five employees for child cruelty.

Jamaican Extradition Treaty Could Affect Bevin, cowritten by CoPilot Ai

Yes, Jamaica has an extradition treaty with the United States; but, there is no information about whether Bevin could be charged with child abandonment under Jamaican law, adoption regulations, and rules.

There is no information publicly available to suggest that Bevin would ever be charged.

The treaty was signed in Kingston on June 14, 1983, and it came into force on July 7, 1991.

This agreement allows for the extradition of individuals between the two countries for criminal offenses.

If someone commits a crime in one country and flees to the other, this treaty facilitates their return to face justice.
