His mom literallly laughed very loudly in a California federal court room when the federal judge arraigned Sam Bankman-Fried on crypto fraud charges, but she suffered no consequences.
A federal judge sentenced Sam Bankman-Fried to 25 years in federal prison (minimum security) because he poses a substantial risk of being a repeat offender in financial fraud schemes.
Hundreds of millions were lost by innocent investors, despite the fact that some crypto currency is trading at such high prices now that there would be no losses had it occurred years later (now).
